Visiting this website
When you open the website, technical request data is processed so the page can be delivered securely. This can include your IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer, browser, operating system, device information and error or security events.
The website is hosted on Vercel. Articles and media are managed with Sanity and some images are delivered through Sanity’s content delivery network. These providers process technical data on our behalf where necessary to operate, secure and deliver the website.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregated page views, popular pages and referral sources. It processes limited information such as the visited route, referrer, approximate region, device type, operating system and browser. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not store visitors’ IP addresses and does not create an identifiable cross-site profile.
Enquiries through ClickUp
The enquiry form is provided by ClickUp and loads only after you choose to open it. Opening the form sends technical request data to ClickUp. The form also uses reCAPTCHA to protect it from automated abuse, which can send device and usage data to Google.
If you submit the form, the details you enter - such as your name, email address, topic and message - are stored in the Alpenrose Partner ClickUp workspace. We use them to assess and answer your enquiry and to organise the resulting follow-up. Please do not enter medical details, policy documents, account numbers or other special-category data in this first-contact form.
Booking with Microsoft
The booking button opens a Microsoft Bookings page. Microsoft receives technical request data when you follow that link. If you make a booking, the contact details, appointment choices and message you provide are processed by Microsoft and shared with Alpenrose Partner so the appointment can be arranged and held through Microsoft Teams.
If you choose an email link, your email application opens. Nothing is sent until you send the message. We process the sender, recipients, time, subject, message and any attachments to handle the enquiry and subsequent communication. Please use an agreed secure channel before sending sensitive insurance, health or financial documents.
Purposes and legal bases

- Aggregated audience measurement: legitimate interests in understanding whether the public website and its guidance are useful, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Enquiries and bookings: steps requested before entering into a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, and legitimate interests in communicating with prospective and existing clients, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Compliance and records: legal obligations, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
- Where processing is based on consent: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent may be withdrawn at any time for the future.
Recipients and international transfers
Personal data is available only to people and service providers who need it for the purposes described above. Current service providers include Vercel, Sanity, ClickUp and Microsoft; Google is involved when the protected ClickUp form is opened.
Depending on the provider, service configuration and support location, data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the relevant enquiry, appointment or business relationship. Data is then deleted or restricted unless statutory record-keeping duties, the establishment or defence of legal claims, or documented compliance duties require longer retention. Technical logs are retained according to the security and operational settings of the relevant provider. The current Vercel Web Analytics reporting window is one month; its anonymous visitor seed is discarded after 24 hours.
Your rights
Subject to the legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also withdraw consent for the future. Contact us by email to exercise these rights.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for the registered office is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.
